Hoga Island is part
of the Tukang Besi archipelago, located off
S.E. Sulawesi. In 1996 these waters were a designated
marine park, now it is the second largest protected
marine park in Indonesia. When you read how
to get to this island it might strike you as
too much trouble, but I can tell you it is worth
the effort. To get there is a great adventure
itself and besides that a gradual acclimatization
to this part of the world. The island has no
roads and has only one small village.
